CRIMEAN FEDERAL UNIVERSITY
V.I Vernadsky Crimean Federal University’s history goes back to the beginning of the 21st Century- In 1918 it was medical faculty of Taurida University. In 1931 it separated and became an autonomous unit – Crimea Medical Institute. Today it is an up-to-date educational institution upgrading itself to keep abreast of global trends in medical education and research, developing its intellectual potential and providing top specialists for medical services. CFU has a holistic approach as to the organizational, scientific and methodological aspects of the educational process. V.I Vernadsky Crimean Federal University comprises a large number of academic units and branches located across Crimea, including 14 academies and institutes and 5 technical colleges. The University has about 6,000 members of staff and over 30,000 students including about 2,500 international students from more than 30 countries. The University carries on a variety of educational, teaching, research and training activities that enables its students to acquire and develop a broad range of knowledge and skills in an array of fields, including science, art, humanities, medicine and many others.
