Georgia

Georgia is a mountainous country holdings its position at the intersection of Eastern Europe and Western Asia, bound by Black Sea on the West, Russia to the North and Northeast, Turkey to Southwest, Armenia to the South and Azerbaijan to the Southeast. Tbilisi, the largest city of Georgia, is its capital. The European Union has identified Georgia as a prospective member and Georgia has sought membership. It is also currently working to become a full member of NATO.

Georgia has been involved in commerce with many lands and empires since ancient times, largely due to its geographical location. Agriculture and Tourism have been principal sectors of its economy. Georgia’s official language is Georgian with its population of 80% and above practice and follow Georgian Orthodox Church.

Georgia is one of the most sought after country for studying Medicine. Its public universities with intense training and advanced infrastructure makes it one such study destination.
